WORKPLACE INVESTIGATIONS ASSOCIATE - PRIVATE PRACTICE

Specialized Investigative Support for Complex Workplace Matters

____________

Workplace investigations Associate / Support

I don't take on everything — and that's the point. This work is sensitive, it's human, and it deserves full attention. I partner with a select group of organizations and investigators — the ones who need and want more than a standard approach. I work alongside you, independently when needed, and bring a sharp eye to your work to help take it further. Fewer clients, deeper work, better outcomes. That's the whole practice, and I love it.

Have you met Francesca?

I’ve built my career working in complex environments where people are always affected—and getting the details right matters.

I come from a legal background and have spent years working in leadership across legal services, national and local non-profits, and now workplace investigations. I’ve managed multi-million-dollar operations, worked closely with government, boards, and community partners, and have led teams through change. But, what’s always stayed consistent is how I approach the work: be thorough, be fair, and don’t miss what actually matters.

Workplace investigations are where all of that comes together for me. I take a disciplined, detail-level approach—scrutinizing documents, preparing for and attending interviews, drafting and refining reports—but I’m just as focused on the bigger picture. Every file involves real people, real dynamics, and real impact. I don’t lose sight of that.

I’m someone who can walk into a situation that feels messy or unclear and bring structure to it. I ask the right questions, I see patterns, and I get things moving. I’m steady, practical, and I follow things through.

Before building my private practice, I spent years inside organizations where I managed legal services, finance and operations, brought teams and national external partners through uncertainty and change, managed risk, worked through governance and compliance issues, and helped organizations function better behind the scenes. That experience shapes how I approach investigations now—I don’t just look at what happened, I look at how the environment allowed it to happen in the first place.

Outside of work, my life is full in a different way. I’m a single mum to two kids, and they keep me grounded and on my toes. I love to travel whenever I can, and when I’m home, I’m usually outside—building a fire from wood I’ve hauled myself, with twinkly lights going. It’s my reset.

There’s a lot of serious work in what I do, done with warmth, personality, and a little spark.

With me

This is not a volume practice. I work with a carefully selected number of clients at a time — ensuring that every engagement receives the depth, attention, and strategic thinking it deserves.

Grounded in both professional training and lived professional experiences, I bring a thoughtful, nuanced lens to every matter — one that is rare in the field and invaluable in the most sensitive cases.

Think of this as having a trusted senior partner in your corner: I will get to know each investigation as well as you do, anticipate what's needed before you ask, and I am wholly invested in a fair, clear, and defensible outcome.

If you're wondering,

Francesca has been a huge asset to my solo investigations practice. Her organizational, copy-editing, and formatting skills are top tier, and she has been extremely helpful at identifying small but important details / inconsistencies in draft reports in a way that helps me improve the overall product delivered to clients. On a few occasions, Francesca has helped me dig through extensive documentary evidence produced by witnesses and organized it systematically and in a way that facilitates the report drafting process. Plus, she’s really great at organizing her time in a way that I can set realistic expectations with my clients. Overall, I have had extremely positive experiences with Francesca.” [H.N.]
